Pension fund commits $50m to Faropoint Industrial SLB Fund

Faropoint has grabbed a $150 million acquisition loan that will play a role in supporting the tech focused real estate manager's industrial real Sale Leasback (ISLBM) fund

The industrial asset manager launched a $300M sale-leaseback fund dedicated to buying properties from tenants to lease back to them, giving tenants an easy way to secure the cash they need to keep going and allowing Faropoint to aggregate warehouse portfolios it can sell to larger investors.

The refinancing frees up capital for the real estate firm.

Employees Retirement System of Texas contributed to Faropoint’s third US industrial real estate fund which closed last month with $915m in commitments. The pension fund said it made a $75m commitment to the Faropoint Industrial Value Fund III.
